Can I get some advice on seting up a crossplatform rendering platform?
What I have is a Toaster 2000/030/20meg with 3.5 software, and a Pentium/60
8meg systems.
I've been looking for Ethernet cards for both, but am not shure what
requirements will be needed for both systems to talk to eachother when using
lightwave.
For instance, what I'd like to set up is the following.
Lightwave 4.0 on the Pentium and 3.5 or 4.0 on the Amiga.
Connect them with the ethernet and use arexx to split up the rendering between
the 2.
Some questions I have are...
Is there a specific networking standard needed for the 2 pc's and lightwave
to comunicate, if so what are the best buys to do the job on both platforms.
Will Arexx comunicate with lightwave on the Pentium side.
I'm hoping to get around purchaseing any screamernet software at this time,
at least till I get a another system and have 3 systems to network.
Thanks
Ed
